Launches the SOURCE on Community College Issues, Trends & Strategies
March 13, 2011, Clarence Center, NY: Lorenzo Associates, Inc., publisher of Educational Pathways since 2002, has launched a new informational website called the SOURCE on Community College Issues, Trends & Strategies, located at http://www.edpath.com/thesource.html. According to Editor-in-Chief George Lorenzo, the SOURCE is a thorough online resource that aggregates an enormous amount of news, reports, feature articles, and other information relative to community colleges. Additionally, the SOURCE features timely and informative free reports written by Lorenzo Associates, Inc. The first two of these free reports are titled “The Revitalization of American Community Colleges: A Synthesis of Current Initiatives, Programs, Issues and Challenges” and “Learn and Earn Initiatives and Programs in Postsecondary Education.” “The SOURCE has a great deal of links to a wide variety of timely information that is published on numerous websites that are supportive of community colleges,” Lorenzo said. “There is an abundant amount of information out there about community colleges that needs to be aggregated and promoted through one vehicle. “ The SOURCE is more than one year in the making, and there are many plans to increase SOURCE content to a level that has not yet been seen in the community college sector, Lorenzo added. “We are conducting plenty of new research and interviewing many nationally recognized leaders in this space in order to publish more relevant content that community college educators and administrators should find very helpful.” Community Colleges are currently experiencing a tremendous upsurge in recognition from the Obama Administration as well as from philanthropic and non-profit organizations. “There is a big need, I think, for a website that can effectively keep everyone apprised of the extraordinary amount of activity going on community colleges today,” Lorenzo explained. “The aim of the SOURCE is not to compete with any other resources in this sector, but to promote anything and everything that’s new, informative and relative to community college issues, trends and strategies .” ###
