ELI is no longer actively pursuing this topic. This website is provided as an historical resource; it is not being updated or actively managed; therefore, some of the links may be broken. It is, nonetheless, an exploration, that points to papers, articles and presentations that covered how e-portfolios can help students more effectively reflect on their learning experiences and thus enhance learning, the policy implications of e-portfolios, and much more.

The Inter/National Coaliton for Electronic Portfolio Research
Convenes research/practitioners to study the impact of eportfolios on student learning and educational outcomes. Each year ten institutions selected through an application process constitute a three-year cohort. Each campus works on an individual project that asks "What learning is taking place as a function of electronic portfolios?" and "How do we know?"

San Francisco State University,

VALUE: Valid Assessment of Learning in Undergraduate Education
