REVISITING BLENDED LEARNING
An in-depth look at blended learning based on information
collected from an invitational two-day workshop sponsored by
the Sloan Consortium and hosted by the University of
Illinois at Chicago. Forty educators representing 20
institutions attended the workshop in late April 2004. This
cover story features some of the highlights of the workshop
and was produced from a taped transcription of the
proceedings.

BLENDED LEARNING AND THE GENERATIONS
A review, in part, of an online workshop held by the Sloan
Consortium earlier this month in which Chuck Dziuban, Joel
Hartman and Patsy Moskal from the University of Central
Florida drew upon seven years of longitudinal data collected
about students from four generations - Matures, Baby
Boomers, Generation Xers, and Millennials - who took fully
online and blended courses at UCF.
