July-August 2003, Vol. 2, Issue 7

EDITOR'S NOTE:

Editor’s Note: For this special issue of Educational Pathways I had the pleasure of communicating with 11 education organization leaders (listed below). Trying to capture the true essence of the collective communication I had with these highly knowledgeable educators was a tremendous challenge. There are not enough pages here to paint a truly accurate picture of the great amount of information they imparted. Nonetheless, the story that ultimately came out on pages one through six can be considered a good source for generating meaningful and important discussion among distance education faculty and administrators, as well as Federal and State policy makers who are responsible for shaping the future of higher education. (You can also visit all of the organization Web sites, also listed below, for vast amounts of truly helpful information, on numerous levels, about distance education.)

The next issue of Educational Pathways will be published on September 15, 2003. Here’s wishing all of our many readers a great summer.

Please keep in touch,
George Lorenzo - writer, editor and publisher
