About Lorenzo Associates, Inc. Lorenzo Associates, Inc., is a New York State corporation based in Clarence Center, NY, a suburb of Buffalo. Founder and President George Lorenzo, who is also writer and editor of Educational Pathways, provides research, writing, editing and publishing services to select clients in the education industry. The early phases of Lorenzo Associates, Inc., go back to 1989, when George started Print Media Productions (PMP), a sole proprietorship located in Las Vegas, Nevada. PMP provided writing, graphic design, marketing, advertising and public relations services for the education, hospitality, banking and real estate industries. In 1994, PMP was relocated to Buffalo, NY. In 2000, after taking a Communications Studies graduate seminar, titled "Communications in the 21st Century" and taught by Dr Joseph Woelfel at the University of Buffalo, George, who is an education journalist by trade, started to free-lance articles about distance education and the cyberculture. This led to the creation of Educational Pathways in January 2002, a monthly, paid-subscription newsletter that covered online learning and teaching in higher education. Educational Pathways is now a quarterly, paid subscription newsletter that covers education technology, fully online and blended learning environments, information literacy/fluency, the globalization of education and much more. In late 2003, all of
George's entrepreneurial efforts were put under the umbrella of Lorenzo
Associates, Inc. The combined body of work from Educational Pathways and
Lorenzo Associates, Inc., has given George the opportunity to interview
more than 1,000 educators and make connections and learn about education
in ways he never imagined. Today, the work generated by Lorenzo
Associates, Inc., and Educational Pathways, has helped George build a
large network of associates and friends from a wide variety of
disciplines and administrative levels, in K through 20, as well as from
non-profit education organizations and from for-profit business
professionals who support the education industry. |
